That doesn’t mean they cannot learn skills to beat their anxiety, it just means you should stop trying to answer the question “But why?” Teen anxiety is often irrational and is not usually based on actual experiences. This book is a clever way to explain to children what anxiety is and how to deal with it. It also gives tools on how to cope when anxiety gets the best of you. However, parents should not discount a child's fears. Because anxious children may also be quiet, compliant and eager to please, their difficulties may be missed.
